Be a Part of Tradition

Since 1956, thousands of Chicagoland’s greatest amateur golfers have competed at the annual North Shore Amateur Golf Tournament. This year the Tournament will be held at the Highland Park Country Club. Join us for a weekend of lively competition with golfers from throughout northern Illinois as they play for the honor of the game and the win!

The tournament field is limited to 200 players and is divided into three separate divisions:

Scratch Division and Senior Scratch

  • Handicap Index 6.4 or less

Scratch Division plays after the Handicap and Senior Divisions both days.  First round pairings are by random draw.  The entry field is repaired for the second round with the leaders teeing off last from the first tee.

Handicap Division and Senior Division (age 55+)

  • Handicap Index of 15.9 or less
